Piante di Strada tra Pubblico e Privato

The event is the third instalment of the “Ecologie Urbane” (Urban Ecologies) series at the Spazio Mesu in Cagliari. The presentation focuses on street greenery in Berlin and the ways in which residents care for plants along the streets. The event took place in the Villanova neighbourhood, where caring for street plants and balcony gardens is a deeply rooted practice supported by residents and local associations. The ensuing debate therefore provided an opportunity to discuss these practices in the context of Italy and Germany: how the domestic dimension of care extends into the public sphere, influencing governance and street design.

The event was organised in collaboration with Oreri—Iniziativa Editoriale. The presentation was followed by a discussion with Prof. Marco Cadinu (University of Cagliari)
